Discover the Rchain Cooperative
In this edition of RCON3 Interview series, we catch up on the progress and promise of the RChain project with none other than Medha Parlikar, Program Manager- Pyrofex/RChain, a woman whose management experience and world-class leadership continues to push the entire operation forward.
Last week the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its latest report. With all the discussion around human impact on climate, you'd think we'd be making significant progress at this point. Yet the message was not good:
The report finds that limiting global warming to 1.5°C would require “rapid and far-reaching” transitions in land, energy, industry, buildings, transport, and cities. Global net human-caused emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) would need to fall by about 45 percent from 2010 levels by 2030, reaching ‘net zero’ around 2050.
We speak with two of the leading software engineers working on the CBC Casper framework and its implementation in RChain, Michael Birch and Kent Shikama. In this conversation at RCon3, we discuss everything from blockDAGs to the GHOST fork-choice rule. Below, we give an overview of the topics covered.
Chris Boscolo is the founder of LifeID, an open-source, tokenized protocol for self-sovereign identity. Digital identity and online security are among the most pressing issues in the world today. Data breaches put everyone on edge.
The variety of disposable electronics (Internet-of-Things, IoT) has grown substantially over the last decade, as prices are falling, and the selection becomes incredibly powerful. Blockchains typically require significant storage and processing resources for all of the cryptography used in the transactions they store
This RCon3 session features Luigi D’Onorio DeMeo, co-founder of Proof Media. Proof organizes a “wise crowd” to answer questions. Their goal is to identify truth in journalism from a large, well-incentivized community. To do this, they need a tokenized system and a scalable blockchain.
Journalism lacks the kind of mechanisms to filter through content that music and art do. For journalism, there are only fact-checking services that don’t scale.
In this talk from RCon3, lifeID founder Chris Boscolo discussed the problems with how personal identity data is handled today, the benefits of a self-sovereign identity solution for users and businesses, and the use of RChain for scalability and platform governance.
In this episode of Spotlight, we caught up with Farhan Javed, Co-Founder, Inkrypt at RCon3 in Berlin. Inkrypt is building a censorship-resistant, decentralized journalism and media content hosting platform that ensures content authenticity and resilience.
